We obtain our organic cotton from Gujarat in North India where it is grown from non GM seed and is independantly certified as Fairtrade by the Fairtrade Foundation. The yarn is dyed in Pondicherry using traditional methods.Only non toxic, azo free dyes are used and the effluent is treated to remove any harmful residue. White fabric is produced using non chlorine bleaches. It is then woven either by hand or locally, on small domestic powerlooms.
